「勁太極學院」彭漢強院長 (English)

1.  彭漢強院長,請先介紹一下自己。請問你可認識「應肚即飛」的黃錦康先生?

我是一位退休生物科教師,研習趙堡太極三十年。未退休前,常用「福音太極」的名義,義務教授趙堡太極拳多年,後改名「趙堡太極拳發勁研究中心」,進一步以現代力學,傳授發勁拳理,因以人體物理破解了太極內中的神秘力量,現在剛成立了網上「勁太極學院」(www.kingtaichi.org)教受內功發勁,全力推廣此運動,深信影響會達到每一個人。

「應肚即飛」黃錦康先生是我十多年的好友和徒弟。是用古老的一套方法教出來的。功法成熟較慢,不及現在的力學方法快速。但他十分強烈感受到趙堡拳對他的健康、減壓和功力的幫助,自費宣傳,在媒體賣廣告,十分熱誠,我亦把「趙堡太極內勁揭秘」一書的版權送贈給他,讓他去推廣此優秀的太極拳,分文不取,他的「應肚即飛」名作亦因而廣為人知,被香港和世界的華人社會所傳頌,在各媒體上的報道,一時無兩。

2.可否補充所提到的「勁太極」是什麼?

我在太極拳的工作均和「勁」有關,例如我創立的「趙堡太極拳發勁研究中心」、所寫的「趙堡太極拳內勁揭秘」和「太極拳勁之剖析(趙堡架) 」,均以「勁」為焦點。「勁」是發勁運動研究的最細小單元,就如細胞是組成生物的最細小單位一樣。「勁」是指一次的力量,該次發勁彈射力量的大小,是由體重、速度、方向所決定,過程中負責彈射的機械杠桿比率亦有關係。簡言之「勁太極」,即是以研究單一「勁」力的物理力學太極運動,有時亦指本中心(或稱學院)專門用於傳授內功發勁的「勁太極十二式」簡短套路。這各字源於一位成員在練習時,感到十二式內力之強大而稱讚這太極很勁、很利害,其後更請了孔子後人提字「勁太極」贈給彭老師。

3.「趙堡太極拳」是屬於那一派的太極拳?我較少聽聞。

「趙堡」是地名,現行只有「趙堡太極拳」是以其發源地來命名,據我老師所言,因為在鎮內世代相傳,記錄完整,歷代宗師姓氏不盡相同,從第一代宗師蔣發開始,到第十代鄭悟清,因避戰亂,才離開趙堡鎮,向各地廣傳,記錄清楚。由張三豐到落戶趙堡鎮之間,只有流傳給蔣發的故事。它雖然是最古老的太極拳種,但流傳向外則很遲,用姓氏為號的太極拳分支,是在不同時期私有化的結果。

4.你是怎樣開始學習趙堡太極拳的?

趙堡太極拳第十一代宗師紀昌秀師尊,於上世紀80年代移居香港,才開始把趙堡太極拳帶出中國,所以趙堡太極拳雖然歷史最遠,但亦是最遲才走向世界的。她來香港時,最初是教「和式太極拳」,這是因趙堡太極拳有第八代宗師和兆元,曾經以圓形的槓桿力學,整理趙堡太極拳套路,因而得名。80年代從香港大學理學院畢業後,我便追隨紀老師學習,達十年之久,直到移居澳洲。我在三十年的學習中,一直以生物力學來思考課堂所見,在寫作「趙堡太極拳內勁揭秘」一書時,藉多方的物理結構比喻,最終分解了「氣聚丹田」的物理過程,破解太極拳神祕面紗背後的本體真身–重力,並在「太極拳勁之剖析(趙堡架) 」,把功法原理,扶正、整合於物理程式中,成就人類發勁通用力學,為功法訓練提供力學偕梯,使運動表現登上個人物理極限頂峰。

5.太極拳很博大精深,你怎樣知道,是真的揭開了太極拳神秘的面紗?

在地球的重力場影響中,活動背後一定須要服從力學定律和法則的!為了驗證力學真偽,我和「趙堡太極拳發勁研究中心」成員,重新演示了十多位太極大師的精彩表演,但只用力學解釋,半點古籍都不用!「太極拳勁之剖析(趙堡架) 」中,已能全面應用物理力學審查勁力的運用和技巧,為提升功力、堤供具體指導。除了「應肚即飛」,黃錦康先生亦曾多次公開示範;包括應肚即飛,隔出打牛,坐著飲茶單手發勁彈走大漢等,均為大師之作。其他學院成員多達數以百計的示範、練習的上載,可見於 www.kingtaichi.org  和 www.taichisport.orgwww.gospeltaichi.org  均公開讓同道武術愛好者品評真假。

6.能否簡單介紹一下現代力學「勁太極」的精粹?

太極拳的發勁內功本質是重力,這是內功力量的謎底,所以發勁時背後的物理力學,不是能量的原因,亦不是肢的拉動力,而是以重力為本的「動量」,因而發勁和放勁時,手都不太須要動的,否則便成了拉扯鬥力。重力集中在重心,重心被擲移動時,便產生撞擊、拋擲對手的力量。人體的丹田內就有齊拋擲發勁所須的器具。情況就如一扇門的前後各有一人推着它,但在門後的一位突然用另一鐵錘拷打門板,門前的那位便在無先兆的情況下,突然彈走。彈走他的鐵錘是人體重心、即幾十公斤的體重,突然擊打門板,若用手力,充其量是十多公斤的拉扯力,力量被分散在時間空間中,被平均化了,沒有重力彈發對方的濃縮力量和一觸即發的感覺。若不能分辨兩者的本質,功夫很難有進步的。

7.這種”神奇”濃縮的重力發勁,能示範嗎?

在以我中文名字(彭漢強或趙堡太極發勁研究中心)連結的Youtube,有超過300段的上載,有些是公開表演的精粹,可自行尋找。我亦經常在課堂前的公開時段,解說和示範其中的分別。使用重力的好處,是它的力量取自地球的重力場,又快、又重、但卻很輕鬆。明白產生勁力和放出勁力的力學後,根據動量法則來練習,不難應用,每位運動員都能短期內成為高手。並且很快能享受運動帶來的健康好處!「發勁研究中心」的學員,成功地應用的例子很多,高爾夫球、拉丁舞、打功夫、乒乓球,其中Patrick則應用於減低精神和工作壓力,把自己從十年的恐懼症中拉回到正常生活中,他的膝關節傷痛亦痊癒了。Cat亦感到血氣的運行和步履變得穩定。按相同的物理法則,即使是輕功的力學原理,我亦能分解,只不過要找到有心人才能練得到。我網上學習的徒弟,他淋巴循環亦大大改善,”痛風”發作的次數減了很多。「應肚即飛」亦說是藉此拳渡過人生的憂傷和打擊。

8.我知彭師傅在香港大學念書時,是主修科學的。中藥都常說一種藥,可以有多種用途,而且是又快又好,你以重力為主的現代力學太極拳,有沒有現代的方法去解釋,它在保健養生、自衛發勁、減壓復康的科學化解釋?

說來很長,簡言之。趙堡太極拳,內中的套路動作,包含了招式的防身自衛功能,而我則是專門練習用丹田重力發勁的方法、即內功發勁;在練習內功時,很容易推動身體內各處的淋巴液運行、特別是丹田上下的大形淋巴結,加速保健養生的能力,”痛風”便因此改善過來。配以力學理論於功法中,學員很快投入練習,從個人生活和工作壓力抽離;經過短暫的練習後,亦很快取得成果,發現自己的潛能大有進展,因而喜悅難禁,這是突破自我的之後的歡欣,在下課時,往往忘卻壓力,因而在減壓上很有效。要避免常見的膝蓋等痛楚,則須了解關節的設計,順關節而行來用力。

9.彭老師,可否談談你的力學結構,是怎樣配合重力來運行的?

力學結構的比喻很多,陀螺、陀飛輪、身板、齒輪、保齡球等等十多種,各有其長短之處。以陀螺比喻為例,它較為全面看到發勁、內傳和放勁的物理情況;在發勁時,陀螺亦可比喻為射箭所用的弓。一般的陀螺,其重心和軸心在同一垂直綫上,所以能轉得平穩和長久,但在內功背後的陀螺則是重心和轉心有一定額距離,因此才能揮動重心,使之旋轉移動,產生重力撞擊對方,把對方發彈凌空。在傳遞勁力住上的過程中,用陀螺的結構講解亦有好處,就是發勁的位置在骨盤,放勁的位置在手,之間的身板就得像陀螺的身筒一樣,把重力往上傳上到手,並且能因應人體身板的結構,主動加強重力,使之能用上全身的肌肉來配合重力的撞擊,可以一觸即發,便把對方彈走。但亦有對力學認識不深入的人,把身板的扭力當作重力,把骨盆的重力化解。在放勁方面,手關節必能固守適當的角度,使勁力全然向外送出,這當中的學問是關乎動量轉移時,有一些背後的設題,所以受勁者亦要董得動量恆定,按勁力的大小來彈出,表演才會精彩!我有課堂是專門研習此課題的,亦十分精彩,做到一些大師級的表演!

10.可否舉一些課堂例子來說明彭師父力學太極拳的科學化和現代化的特徵所在?

課堂上,研究中心成員的討論和練習,是十分熱烈的。例一:把拳打得快、準、重和遠。示範出拳時,要把拳打得重,必須動用體重來發勁,先從陀螺底、再到身板加入身板肌肉力量,是體重的力量加上肌肉的收縮力量;拳要出得快,必須結合人體身上陀螺加速部件,把三處的相對速度加起來,便能提升速度;距離要打得遠,亦是把途經各部件轉向單一相同的方向。我想各位可參考網上,我在相關影片中,以此理論做出來的力學拳勢,是十分猛烈和震撼的!曾有一學生見我拳鋒利害,才來學習的;另一位則建議我整理一套內功出拳,見過的人,亦印象深刻。

例二:拍打重心、產生撞擊力。由於發勁所用的是重力,重力匯聚於重心就好像一很重的乒乓球一樣。藉物理力學的分析,已知重心所在的位置是在骨盆的中央,亦即古語所說的丹田。人體上,亦只有這個位置,有齊發勁拍打乒乓球的工具。如放鬆腿部時,便是拋出乒乓球;髖關節就如拿着乒乓球拍的手腕位置;骨盆和尾骨就是球拍。當球拍擊中重心,便會產生撞擊力,由於被撞的是重力所處位置,所以勁力的特性與肌肉的拉扯力量很不相同。古語喜歡用「掤履擠按」四正法來描寫拍打乒乓球時的方向。以此力學原理,做出來的勁力,並不須要手部的額外力量,看來”好像不知力從何來”!

11.彭老師的科學太極,是否一定要練趙保架的七十二式或你所編寫的「勁太極十二式」才能練就成功的呢?

並無一定,要了解其中原則,便可廣泛應用於各世運體育項目中。在研究發勁的內功力學時,我們發現樁架較高的較容易練得好,這亦同時有利於保健膝和脊關節,運動並不局限於那一種的動作。當然,的確是有些動作,在設計時,並沒有考慮發勁和放勁位置的「內外相合」向量一致性的重要原則,是可能有缺欠的。整體來說,樁架高的話,保健和發勁兩者都能兼得。內功發勁方面:在拍打重心乒乓球時,架高的話,”乒乓球”有足夠的勢能來滑行。在保健方面:筋腱不會被過度拉扯受傷;肌肉保持在較佳和有力的肌節狀態;骨骼則經常承受身體大部分的重量,確保骨質沿受力線上沉積加強。

12.彭老師提到趙堡的的七十二式和「勁太極十二式」,在教學上可有分別?

我三十年來,都研習趙堡太極拳,因為我的身體一向不能承受太大的運動壓力,在練習的過程中,保護我遠離身子的小毛病,和為我的生活減壓。但在學習的過程中,七十二式太長,我學習兩年多才練完。所以,在教授內功時,便自行以左右對稱的原則,抽取六式,編寫成現在的「勁太極十二式」,十二式雖然簡短易學,但卻為發勁和力學的討論和研究,立定了很好的基礎,使「發勁中心」成員,能在短短三個月的練習後,便能投入探討和進行力學探究。並且它在血氣運行方面,十分出色,雖然只一分鐘便已完成一次,血氣的運行已十分流暢,能在很短時間內為健康提供保護,並且因勁力是順關節的,並無膝痛後遺症。

之後,練七十二式,便能了解更多祖師等於拳藝的博大精深和內容之豐富。了解更多發勁的機械方法和構造,亦能用於技擊、發勁、保健等等的不同方面和功能,是十分有趣和實用的。初初練拳時,老師總是叫我們多練七十二式套路,到我練明白了之後,遇到問題的時候,亦是回到套路的練習中去找答案,只是越練越有趣味,不知不覺便會忘掉時間,讚嘆祖師們的經驗和智慧,在沒有力學的情況下,卻以上等的力學,注入套路之中,是享受運動的應用力學!

13.彭老師,古代的師父都為自己留有一手的,你的看法如何?

我的徒弟經數個月的訓練後,大多都能對自己和別人的動作,進行客觀的分析。因為我所傳授的是一套宇宙的力學法則,即使是我未有提過的,亦曾有物理認識深的徒弟,能舉一反三地提出練功的方法。這與我學習時所受的教導方法很不同,那時,我是靠「死背書」的方法來發勁的,自己做得到,但仍不明白,亦無法準確向人解釋,更不可能找到提升功力的方法和方程式。現在是十分科學化和現代化了。明白了,便會想出練功之法。有徒弟能按照相同的物理來發一勁,若體能比我優越,自然做出比我強的發勁,所以我們是很能吸納精英人材的。

可以保留不公開嗎

14.彭老師你這樣地公開解釋太極拳的精華,有沒有遇到別人的反對?

現在的世界,醫生的藥方亦必須要公開。我是剛巧有齊所有的經驗,把精髓公開的人,若不藉着我,再過一段時間,亦會有人與我一樣,有能力把它公開的,但太極拳的現代化發展便要再推遲很長的時間,當中亦會出好些亂子,有損先祖輩的聲譽。最不幸的,就是被更有系統的其它拳術所煙沒。當我把太極拳背後的完整力學理論公開之後,這個太極力學更新運動亦不可能停下來,就算我想叫停亦不能,因為背後的宇宙定律已公被開。試想想,火藥不是中國人最先發明的嗎?但經過西方的長期研究和發展後,武器發展得最好的,不就是有研發精神的西方國家嗎?你有沒有想過,二十年之後,在中國教太極的可能全是西方人呢?這是現在的太極拳界不可不深思的問題!並且須要坐言起行,不可固步自封。

15.彭老師,那你的力學太極拳,會不會是一種新的拳術,但並非太極真身?因為太極拳太博大了,是否真的只用幾條物理方程式便能破解它?

我並無改變從老師所學的外形,亦無改變其內中發勁方法。我只是以動量方程式,來整合和分析。重演各大師表演時,亦不須要抄襲古代的典籍,能夠指出各人身上的陀螺結構和杠桿位置。所以我的徒弟很多都能在傍進行獨立分析,成為很有批判力的「塘邊鶴」,亦能提出相關的重點。在「太極拳勁之剖析(趙堡架) 」一書中,亦為太極圖注入力學的解釋,在以上的談論中,亦輕鬆易明地,把一些古代詞語,以現代力學詞彙代替之。其實當大家多點認識太極拳背後的重力現象,便能明白,很多太極大師輕鬆拋擲對方時,背後的力學結構和原理!若然大師不遵守這些法則,大師亦同樣要被彈走,無得留低。因為這是宇宙法則,應用於太極拳上,所以,有徒弟明白之後,把核心方法, 應用到不同的武術和體育運動中,均十分見效。

16.太極拳是鬆柔並濟的,但彭老師所討論的,好像偏重了用力發勁的方法?

是的。因我的徒弟大部分的拳齡很長,學過很多門派的工夫,亦跟過不少名師,所以他們都是集中研究核心的發勁問題,以自己搭建的物理結構來學習發勁,是極堅剛偕段。但亦有學員能放鬆來練習,開始了解,極柔軟的另一面,探討如「聽勁」、「用意行勁」、「勁走纏絲」、「後發先至」等功夫技巧,但在一個人未董極堅剛前,是很難練得好放鬆這一方面的。

17.彭老師曾提到,練習「勁太極十二式」是不會有膝痛和腰痛等常見的運動後遺症,其中原因何在?

其實不單止是太極拳,很多運動都有這類痛症。因為運動員都沒有了解各類關節設計時的活動平面,如果不尊重該關節的用力平面便容易做成痛症。我有成員曾跟樓下的名師練習,弄到膝痛難當的,所以第一次見我時,已事先說明:「膝痛的不練!」亦有打高爾夫球的,由有膝痛練到無膝痛的真實個案。簡單而言,膝關節只能上下摺曲,不能水平扭動。站得高,亦減省關節的受力,把體重多些交給骨質硬度。脊柱的關節只容許小許慢速的水平扭動,所以它不能用於承受快速扭力,不能作為發勁時的轉軸。須僅記。原理:若該勁力結構不順著關節的設計用力,勁力必不強大,長久必有痛症移位等現象。有機會可再詳談。

18.彭師父是打算怎樣推動此套集合內功力學與保健於一身的「勁太極十二式」呢?

大約十多年前,從澳洲回來後,我有些徒弟到我樓下公園,找我練功。後來便建立了「福音太極」的網址,擺放一些徒弟發勁的影片,以作交流,那是義務的,之後,亦有一些徒弟看到網上的影片後,在我寫「趙堡太極拳內勁揭秘」一書前後,從台灣、東馬、美國、加拿大來學習的。現在第二本「太極拳勁之剖析(趙堡架)」已於2015年1月出版,我已能成立與書本同名,專門教授「勁太極十二式」的「太極拳勁之剖析(趙堡架)」應用程式,以「勁太極學院」(www.kingtaichi.org)的名義,在網上推廣,讓人按自己的需要和進度學習,繼續推動這個勁之運動!因我的「勁太極十二式」背後,是物理力學系統,加上我對編寫課程的經驗,要在網上學習並不困難,網上流傳亦快而廣,不受地域、時間限制。

19.彭師父在太極拳的發展史上,你覺得自己的功勞在那裡?

我沒有改變太極拳的外形和內功的方法,但卻把其中的精粹,以動量力學的原則,穩定下來,為有志提升功力的人士,提供可參考的方法和方向。亦把當中的核心力學方法,推廣到其它的運動範疇。並且因功法的透明度高,效果極佳,定必引發一輪力學化和現代化的更新運動,如風暴一樣,把老舊殘缺的,一掃而空,代之以扎實、穩固和現代化的基礎,為太極拳現代化,奠定基石,使拳藝有系統地提升質素、成為具現代化規模的國技,推行到大中小學和社會各偕層當中。

The Chancellor of King Tai Chi Academy Master William HK Pang

1.Master Pang, could you introduce yourself? Do you know the performer of “Dare a Touch the Belly”, Master Albert KH Wong?

I was a retired biology teacher, practice Zhao Bao Tai Chi for thirty years. Before retirement, I used the name Gospel Tai Chi to do volunteer teaching of Zhao Bao Tai Chi, which was later renamed as “Zhao Bao Tai Chi Fa Jin Research Centre” for further investigation of fa jin physics theory, and finally cracked open the secret of fa jin power. Now we established the King Tai Chi Academy (www.kingtaichi.org) to promote and teach fa jin kung fu and it will impact everyone positively.

The “Dare a Touch the Belly” Master Albert Wong is my friend and member of the Centre, was taught by using tradition way, the fa jin kung fu mature slowly, not as rapid as it is nowadays. But he feels it strongly the Zhao Bao Kung Fu helps him a lot in health, against depression, and paid himself to do media promotion, very enthusiastically. I granted the copy right for the book “Zhao Bao Tai Chi –Unveiling the Secret of Fa Jin” to him for free. He did the promotion successfully via “Dare a Touch the Belly”, making his name know to Chinese community with no match in the year 2012.

2.What is King Tai Chi?

My Tai Chi works always associate with Jin, like “Zhao Bao Tai Chi Fa Jin Research Centre”, the books “Zhao Bao Tai Chi –Unveiling the Secret of Fa Jin” and “Tai Chi Jin Mechanics—Zhao Bao Style”, all focus in Jin study. “Jin” is the basic unit of study in sport, just like in biology, the study focus in the basic unit of life—cell. A “Jin” means a single force of impact which is composed by three factors: body weight, velocity and direction. During the process, the gyroscope lever also concerns the magnification of force. “Jin” and “King” are the same Chinese character but “King” is the Cantonese pronunciation. “King” has the meaning of the tai chi obeying the king rules of the universe i.e. momentum physics, these include even tai chi grand masters.

3. I seldom hear “Zhao Bao Tai Chi”, a new tai chi?

Zhao Bao is the name of a town, Zhao Bao Tai Chi is the only tai chi use the name of its town of origin. There are total ten generation of grand masters with different surname in Zhao Bao system with prefect documentation from the first generation Master Chiang Fat. The later tai chi using different surnames are the privatization result of this main branch.

4.How do you start to study Zhao Bao Tai Chi?

My teacher, grand Master Ji CS migrated to Hong Kong in the 80s and she is the first one to bring this tai chi to overseas. I start learning Zhao Bao right after my graduation from the University of Hong Kong in the mid 80s. When I compile the Book “Zhao Bao Tai Chi –Unveiling the Secret of Fa Jin”, I crack open the physical process of “Condensing the air into Dan Ten”, thus could hold the CG ball with certainty. (CG=Centre of Gravity). In the Second paradigm, “Tai Chi Jin Mechanics- Zhao Bao Style”, the formula for operating the Jin is disclosed which is the way to play with the CG ball. After established the King Tai Chi Academy, the “King Prime” Session is used to install the force construct, gyroscope, onto human body in order to regulate the force in-and-out.

5.How do you know you really disclose the kernel of tai chi?

Under the earth gravitational field, all things are affected according to gravity rules. In order to prove the effectiveness of the physics principles, the Centre re-acts world top ten grand masters’ performance in the DVD attached in the “Jin Mechanics”.

6.Could you explain concisely the essence of modern physics “King Tai Chi”?

The essence has been build in this King Tai Chi begins with the very nature of force –gravity or the weight of our body. One cannot hit people hard on moon as it is on the earth, this shows the nature of all sport comes from the gravity act on our body mass. The CG(Centre of Gravity) collects the weight of the body and King Tai Chi trains people with skills to toss the CG out in interacting exercise with another person, or with a ball or with medium.

7.Can you demonstrate this condensed fa jin power?

You can search my Chinese name William HK Pang or “Zhao Bao Tai Chi Fa Jin Reasearch Centre”, there are already over several hundred YouTubes, including both me and our member for study,  scrutiny and inspections. The advantage of using body weight is in its speed and the strength of force. Our member apply the Jin skills to other sports successfully, including Golf, dance, martial art, ping pong. Master Patrick Ho recovers from 10 years phobia after one years of practice, his knee joint pain also disappears. Catherine also feels no better than ever after her knee operation almost 20 years ago. The internal kung fu also speeds up lymph circulation and improve circulation diseases.

8.You mentioned so many advantages, do you have scientific explanation for all these benefit?

Zhao Bao Tai Chi Moves inherit three functions from original designer, the defending ability , grabbing techniques, and fa jin internal kung fu, and the Academy focus in the last one. The muscle of internal kung fu locates midway of the lymph flow upwards to heart around the pelvis. The contraction of these muscles speed up the lymph circulation and refresh tissue fluid. The fa jin also works according to joint design on the human body, thus it would not damage the joint structure which usually causes pain if so. It is also an applied mechanical exercise in fa jin, student usually gains an insight easily after explanation and relaxes from living pressure after short duration. It relaxes the mental pressure easily.

9.How is the force construct you mentioned are able to function fa jin?

There are a lot of mechanical analogy available. The one using gyroscope are more comprehensive. As it can be used to control the in-and-out, and regulate the jin that passing through. The installation of the modern physical gyroscopic structure onto the body only take one lesson, the  “King Prime”.

10.Could you explain with example the scientific nature in your class teaching?

In order to punch forcefully, the direction of CG motion must be in the same direction to sum up the vector power from the hip, the shoulder and the fist. Any deflection from a direct punch, will resolve into a smaller impacting power.

11. It that it must be Zhao Bao Tai Chi if one can use the fa jin power?

Not necessary, the fa jin action is in fact a walking and running muscle coordination. Every human locomtion does involve the jin skill if it can be effectvie and healthy.  Therefore, there is no prpblem to transfer the jin skill to other martial art and sport once the composition of jin can be understood. But of course there are minor adjustment for sport in order to lead the jin travel smoothly across joints.

12.What is the different of “Zhao Bao 72 Moves”  and the “King 12 Moves” composed by you?

I use the “King 12 Moves” to teach fa jin skills. It is six moves selection from the tradition “Zhao Bao 72 Moves”. It allows student to study the fa jin in as early as after two months. The “Zhao Bao 72 Moves” is used for learning the fa jin engine from all angles. It consists of areas like defense, fa jin and grabing skills.

13.Will you retain sometime for your own?

The Academy operates in a modern approach, that I guide student to understand the principles and the students could go on their own to finish the journey of they own, there is no need to safe something for anyone. Student could do even better than me if they apply the same principle with a personal stronger level power. The principle can provide cue to their own training and they can look for their way out safely.

Can you Lock up the Secret

14. Is there anyone oppose your way to unveil the secret of fa jin?

Nowadays, medical doctor has to state their prescription clearly. If it not were me luckily have the correct combination of experience, there will still be someone else years later. But if it were so, it will be those with logical mind and analytical power from the western countries. They have the correct reason to un-lock the secret of fa jin by Newton law of force long time ago but is still yet come across fa jin experience that much. Fireworks is a real good example that the logical mind geared into the firework power with the right reason and developed advance weapon and dominated the world politics. Still the China side is using the philosophy as the instrument of study.

15.Tai Chi is board and deep, it cannot be restrained by law of physics. Are you really talking about Tai Chi or something else?

We do not attempt to replace tai chi by law of physics. We impose the law of physics into a fa jin directly. Thus I do not change anything of the moves from my master and not even the way to do the fa jin, but apply physics theory to re-act those grand masters performance telling explicitly all the physics behind used to re-act those actions. With this science training, many of our Centre students are able to analysis and give constructive opinions for improvement because they know the principle in use. In addition, we can explain those ancient sayings by modern law of physics and we do not attempt to mingle the two.

16.It looks that the fa jin are too strong, but tai chi should be very soft?

Most of our students are very experience in martial art and sports. They follows famous teachers before. They want to understand the mechanics of the fa jin power first. Once it can be attained, they will be more confident to do the relax side of the tai chi story. Before that it is difficult to ask anyone with that experience to relax.

17.You mentioned that there are no pain such as from the joints in knee and backbone, how and why?

The joint pain is not limited to tai chi players but commonly observe across the sports of all kind. The reason is that they do not know how to move their joint according to the joint structural design. The axis for all fa jin is not the vertebrates but the ball and socket hip joint. The hinge joint at knee can only bends on a single plan, not even twisting. The backbone is not a suitable axis of rotation, and the vertebral joint can only moves in horizontal plan to a limited extend. If cannot make it clear, damage are easily made to the vertebral column and wearing and pain will follow.

18.How are you going to promote this tai chi which combines the advantages of fa jin interest and health benefit?

I establish the “King Tai Chi Academy”(ww\w.kingtaichi.org). It is a web providing with materials and methods for the open learning of “King 12 Moves” around the clock, in all over the world. So that they can learn fa jin at their own pace without geographic limitation.

The Academy uses the “Tai Chi Jin Mechanics—Zhao Bao Style” as a text book. There are three other ways to start the learning effectively. First, read through the pages of materials, documents and videos one –by-one patiently, follow the King Plaza instruction to do it day-by-day, basically, a traditional sequential methods. Secondly, purchase video items from book shells and emulates the action, compare the different and attempt to eliminate the differences by other video items for explanation. Thirdly, enroll the single “King Prime” session to have the gyroscope install and use it to do the study on the web.

19.What is your contribution in tai chi history?

I introduce principles in momentum physics as a mechanical reason for all fa jin activities and that all sports, martial art and tai chi will be improved to a much higher level, in a much shorter time. In other words, I lay the foundation for the modern tai chi fa jin and launch a Jin storm to sweep away ineffective and harmful actions. The history of sport will remember all those who involved helping this laying of foundation.
